ACTRIS
ACTRIS is the European Research Infrastructure for the observation of Aerosol, Clouds, and Trace gases. ACTRIS is composed of observing stations, exploratory platforms, instruments calibration centres, and a data centre. ACTRIS serves a vast community working on models and forecast systems by offering high quality data for atmospheric gases, clouds, and trace gases.
IAGOS
IAGOS is a new European Research Infrastructure conducting longterm observations of atmospheric composition, aerosol and cloud particles on a global scale from commercial aircraft of internationally operating airlines.
FH D / AIRBUS / easyjet / Nicarnica aviation - Projekt
The Duesseldorf University of Applied Sciences (FHD) has large experience in specific research flights into volcanic plumes of numerous active volcanoes. The task of the FHD team within this ash dispersion experiment was to track the artificial plume with FHD instruments mounted on the Diamond DA 42 MPP research aircraft, and to measure the ash concentration within the plume with high accuracy.
HALO
The High Altitude and LOng Range (HALO) Research Aircraft is the new research aircraft for atmospheric research and earth observation of the German Science Community. HALO was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft and the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft.
